Almasa Durriyah

Almasa is a spiritual dancing goddess of the universe. She knows the importance that this dance holds for women in gaining self esteem, motivation, self love and expression. Dancing has helped with many healing processes in Almasa's life and hopes it will bring you as much joy and happiness as it has brought her.
 
Almasa has been dancing all her life, she is said to feel the music is to be alive. She feels the music at a spiritual and therapeutic level, dancing is her therapy.
 
Almasa is the founder of New England Raqs Sharqi, A place where local bellydancers can join for a free membership, network, and much more. Open to all middle eastern artist - such as middle astern drummers, musicians, dancers, and lovers.
 
Having a background in other forms of dance helps her to be able to have a solid foundation in bellydance.
 
Having trained with highly experienced and knowledgeable teachers such as Najmat of Boston (Her menitor, teacher and dear friend), Ranya Renee, Nourhan Sharif, Pheadra, Jehan, Momo, Karim, Tempest and many others she is gaining the experience it takes to be a humble, successful, and knowledgeable bellydancer herself. Always willing to learn new styles techniques and forms of the dance she is growing into her own style which consist of Modern Egyptian and Classical Egyptian Style bellydance. Although Almasa has been also trained in Cabaret Style, and Gothic as well.
